The High Priestess of Hoarding

Another day of hardcore spring-cleaning comes to an end & I'm not even half finished yet, sheesh!
The living room winter curtains where so frigging dusty that I almost developed instantaneous pneumoconiosis when taking them down :(
They've now been washed and line-dried.
Hubby and I shook the hell out of them before folding them up & putting them away until next winter.
I also tackled the bookshelves today and weeded out heaps of old & random books.
I'm the high priestess of hoarding and I do find it very hard to part with things & throw stuff away but there comes a time when you've just got to STOP!.
We've got a mate who sells old books on a market stall & I think he'll be chuffed to bits with some free stock.
Today's post cleaning ensemble:
Another vintage 70s frock from the wonderful joblot that I won on eBay last week.
Vintage 70s St Michael raffia & leather wedges (charity shop)
Vintage 70s leather patchwork bag (charity shop)
Handmade Kenyan belt (car boot sale)
Vintage 80s sunnies (eBay)
Tibetan prayer bangle (pressie)
Metal tassle earring (DIYed)
It was quite windy today, perfect winter curtain drying weather :)
A cheeky gust, went straight up my skirt!
The dress is labelled Nierlinks -London, not a name I'm familiar with.
The print is gorgeous!
The books & stuff that won't be going back on the shelves...
I came across a gay comic mag called 'Handjobs'...
quite how that ended up in our bookshelf  is a bit of a mystery.
The shelves are still cluttered but no where near as much as before.
Here's my small collection of cat ornaments...
I weeded out so many books that I actually had some space over for my smelly stuff...
I haven't bought a bottle of perfume for years as I usually get some for Christmas.
My mum buys a lot of stuff from Yves Rocher, so most of these are from there.
Truth be told, I only use perfume when I go to work, so a bottle last me ages.
I also tried to cut down on the number of knick-knacks that I put up on the shelves too but I wasn't quite as successful in doing that.
Ocht, you can't win them all ;)
Peace & love,
Jem

I've been trying to clean our house too, but I'm not getting far because I am so lazy. At least I repaired a broken mirror frame and declogged the bath pipes! The dress is lovely, I am addicted to those types of cotton paisley dresses xx

I really love this whole outfit, You look beautiful.

I am in the midst of cleaning also. 4 bags of clothes already gone to the thrift store, I am sure I have at least a couple more bags to go.

Apparently when you have too many clothes, (You can never find what you are looking for) *lol*

You are good. I hoard mammoth amounts of stuff too. I keep ebaying bits and bobs in an attempt to slowly narrow down but it takes forever. Ove the outfit. X

GORGGEOUS frock Jam - I love the print and you have styled it beautifully with the simple summery brown leather vintage accessories.

I too struggle with 'stuff'. So much STUFF! Forever cleaning and sorting and culling... but I do love it!

I'm so god damn lazy, that I end up just moving stuff around the house to get it out of the way. Then I have a massive hissy fit and cart a boot-load of junk to the op shop. Jem, you are looking ravishing here:)). xoxoxoxo
